My boy is 1.7 years old, but he is not talking till now.what was the reason?

Uma RamMom of a 7 yr old boy1 Year agoA. Hai good evening !! Generally babies start babbling around 8-9 months,speaks small words(two letter words mama,dada,papa,bye ...) around 12-14 months.
Check if baby is babbling ,making sounds of two letter words or words we use to speak by this age,waving hands saying Hai ,bye,screaming with joy with loud noise and all
Starts speaking sentences by 2,2.5 years age ,responding,speech ,starting conversation.
