Q.
My baby, wt 5.7 kg was having fever for the past 2 days,it now subsides but started to have loose motion from day one of fever.do i need to give medication for loose motion or will it be ok on its own? some says it's normal to have loose motion after fever, m confused , he pass 3 to 4 times a day.

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 6 months old and his weight is 5.7 kg which is less than normal so don’t give him medicine for loose motions but ORS and frequent breast feeding is okay

it is normal among young babies to pass stool once in 7 days or 10 times in a day.
but if your child passes stool with too much watery consistency with mucus and foul smell then you should consult your pediatrician.
please feed your child on demand.
as you are nursing mother, eat easy to digest food.
maintain good hygiene.
