Q.

my baby who is 3 months old is suffering from cold and cough yesterday I contacted doctor he had given phenargan medicine 1 ml thrice daily for seven days,after giving the medicine my baby is sleeping continuously will I continue giving the medicine with same dose or I can reduce the dose or should I stop it as in net it's showing side effects.

A. Two things I would like to tell you your first the dosage of any medicine in this age is precisely five drops not more than that secondly the medicine that has been given to you is basically of a paracetamol only which is going to give longer sleep duration to the child so it’s not healthy to be given
