Q.

My baby turned 6 months a few days back and I have started giving her steamed apple puree as an introductory fruit solids but noticed that her stool color changes to a mix between whitish yellow and yellowish brown. Is it normal? Also, she has started teething. Should I be concerned about the stool color change to muddy/whitish yellow?

A. if the consistency of the stool is normal that is semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency of the stool. the frequency can vary for 4 to 5 times per day and sometimes the child will not pass stool for few days also. also do no worry about colour and smell of the stool when stool consistency is semisolid to solid. you have to dmeet the dr only if it is totally watery stool or it is hard stool or the child is having pain while passing the stool.

A. Hello dear parent! As long as baby is not having any discomfort symptoms there is nothing to worry. Any changes in the diet will definitely affect your child’s digestion. Keep Babyhug tummy roll on handy. Good luck and take care
