My Baby suffered from a fever(120F) last 2 days, we consulted a pediatrician, and she recommends Calpol120 syrup, Is this the right medicine? she said it's a viral fever, In how many days fever go? What are the home remedies for the same?

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician3 years agoA. hi your baby is 2 months old now medicine for fever is selected on basis of baby's weight so if baby is having weight below 8 kgs it's sufficient and viral fever takes 4-5 days to settle

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. hi it should be subside by three or four days. but if the temperature remains same even after giving Medicine , if it persist for more than 3 days,it is advisable to visit your pediatrician again. keep your child well hydrated dress your child lightly if there is no cold and cough,give Sponge bath to reduce the temperature
