Q.

my baby's weight is just 6.5 kg and she us eight months old. is it normal? although she is active in playing and laughing and smiling at people. i visited a paed regarding this but he said that some babies grow slowly so no need to worry about weight.

A. Dear mum, your paediatrician is correct. Do not worry about your child’s weight, it is fine. As long as baby is active, playful, achieving all growth milestones, passing urine more than 6 to 8 times in 24 hours, it indicates good health.

A. thanks Dr...it gives me relief..and what about height? her height is 2 ft...i heard from many people that for eight months old baby this height is less than ideal height. isn't this a serious concern?
