My baby's weight is 5.8 kg and doctor asked to start giving solids by 5 months saying he is not gaining enough weight Is my baby underweight? can I start giving solids by 5th month? #askexperts

A. Dear mum, weight of 5.8 kg is normal for 5 months old baby. It is not under weight. You should begin to give solid foods only after the completion of 6 months. Until then you should exclusively breastfeed.
