POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 6 m old boy6 months agoA. Red rashes on a 3-month-old baby’s cheeks can be due to dry skin, heat rash, drool rash, eczema, or an allergic reaction. To soothe the skin:
Keep the area clean and dry by gently wiping with a soft cloth. Apply a mild baby moisturizer (fragrance-free) or coconut oil to prevent dryness. Avoid harsh soaps or lotions that may irritate the skin. Use cotton clothes to prevent overheating. If drooling is the cause, clean frequently and apply a barrier cream (like petroleum jelly).
If the rash spreads, worsens, or is accompanied by fever or swelling, consult a pediatrician to rule out infection or allergies.
