Q.

my baby's birth weigh ws 2kg 900 grms...after 20 day...his weight is 3 kg 200 grms...is his weight gain less????

A. Dear parent usually baby's weight doubles up at 6 months of age and triples at 1 year. however every child is different and there would be variation in weight gain too. until your child is happy , active no need to worry. continue Breastfeeding for atleast 6 months of age and then can start with solids slowly.

A. Hi dear good afternoon Check if baby is gaining adequate weight. In the initial 3 months, babies put on about 1 kg each month. From 3-6 months, weight gain reduces to 1/2 kg/month. from 6-9 months, it becomes 1/3, and for 9-12 months, it settles to 1/4 kg. the birth weight doubles in the 4th month and triples when they reach 12 months of age
