Q.

My baby's BCG vaccine area got some puss and it got burst yesterday..Today I cleaned the area with saline water and sprinkld some neisporin powder on it..Is it okto use it?

A. that's normal.. can use it. The presence of the abscess tells you that the immunisation is working. It is not at all painful for your baby. Don’t try to scratch or treat. Wipe it with some saline water and leave it open to drain. There is no need for any antiseptic lotion or any creams at all, and don’t put a plaster onr. It will heal by itself over time.

A. Betadine ointment Would definitely be a better option but if you think that you are using is going to help in a better manner then you can go ahead with that is absolutely a good idea to go for a still if you feel it is not subsiding completely or there is some issue that you should get a check with your doctor for sure
