Q.

My baby never leaves the nipple by himself. He is 1 month old. I check the time I have fed and remove the nipple after 30 min I.e. 15 min on each side of breast. He cries after I remove him. After taking him and making him pat for a while he calms down and doesn't cry. Does this mean that he is having enough milk?. He urinates atleast 10 times a day.

A. feed accorrding to demand Breastfeeding is always a very important factor for the baby and mother and many times there are some problem faced by mother because of either wrong position while feeding lack of proper diet stress related factors. A proper is counselling is required which can be done by a lactational counsellor along with a proper diet with plenty of liquids some supplements may be helpful like shatavari . Also try to avoid giving top milk in initial stage specially with bottle feeding which may be the culprit for lactational failure most of the time .
