my baby name is mrithula .....she was 5 months old she is nt passing motion for 10 days it was happening from last 2 weeks what to do

Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has guibeen started after 6 months . you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy2 years agoA. Stool pattern of small children changes from time to time. It can be more than 7 times per day also and sometimes the child will not pass stool for 10 days also. The most important thing is the consistency of the stool and if it is Semi solid to solid or semi liquid then there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as colour as well as the smell of the stool Also straining and crying while passing urine and stool is very norzmal. the crying of the child is due to colic pain and not due to constipation
