A. Since your 9-year, 4-month-old daughter has started her periods early, her height growth may slow down earlier than usual. However, she can still grow if you focus on the right nutrition, exercise, and sleep. Foods to Support Height Growth Protein-Rich Foods – Eggs, paneer, tofu, chicken, fish, lentils, and nuts help in muscle and bone development. Calcium & Vitamin D – Milk, yogurt, cheese, ragi, sesame seeds, and leafy greens strengthen bones. Sunlight exposure is important for Vitamin D. Iron-Rich Foods – Spinach, beetroot, dates, and pomegranate help prevent anemia, which is common after early periods. Zinc & Magnesium – Pumpkin seeds, almonds, cashews, and whole grains support growth hormones. Fruits & Vegetables – Carrots, oranges, papaya, and berries boost immunity and overall health. Healthy Carbs & Fats – Whole wheat, oats, rice, ghee, and nuts provide energy for growth. Other Tips for Height Growth Encourage Physical Activity – Skipping, swimming, stretching, yoga, and basketball can help. Ensure Proper Sleep – 9–10 hours of sleep is essential for growth hormone release. Limit Junk & Sugary Foods – Processed foods can affect hormone balance and overall health. Since she got her periods early, her growth plates might close earlier than usual. If you’re concerned, consulting a pediatric endocrinologist can help assess her growth potential and guide you better.
