Mom of a 3 yr 2 m old boy2 years ago
Q.

My baby is too active and he started rolling over in only 1.5month's and and took crawling position in just 3rd month. He never play peacefully without crawling or even in play gym or crib (palana) he starts crawling. My worry is as he has very fast physical growth , many times falls on floor and gets his head hurt so how can I stop him from crawling and falling on floor or should I always take him on my lap so that he would stop crawling in such early age to avoid head injury?

A. a baby will start Sitting with support by 6 months of age and by 7 to 8 months baby will sit without support than by 9 months usually baby crawls and in 10 months baby will stand with support. After 12 to 15 months baby will start Walking independently and gdsometimes it may take even flonger but in no case any Walker should be avoided as it can cause recurrent fall injury and delay in the walking because the child lacks confidence of walking independently.
