my baby is suffering loose motion and vomiting and for that he has lost his appetite and gets irritate easily i have been giving him medicine according to my pediatrician but still what else can i do

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Loose motion could be because of some infection or if chronic than could be some malabsorption. Initially you can give zinc supplement for 2 weeks and probiotic like econorm sachet for 3 days for two times a day. For any specific treatment consulut your doctor and maintain proper hydration . can give khichdi ,mashed potato, ripe banana poha if the baby is above 6 months of age, maintain pproper hydration by giving plenty of fluids.ors can also be given. infection is mainly due to poor hygiene

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 10 m old boy4 years agoA. Hi mom When the they are not well, the appetite decreases. This is just a temporary phase. Give natural appetiser like coconut water, jeera water, ajwain water etc to increase the appetite of ur baby. Take care
