Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. It is not uncommon for infants around six months of age to exhibit stranger anxiety, wherein they may not cry or show much reaction when interacting with unfamiliar individuals. This is a normal developmental phase as they start to differentiate between familiar faces (like parents) and strangers. It is not an indication that your baby does not recognize you; rather, it is a part of their growing social and emotional awareness. This phase usually resolves with time and consistent exposure to different people in a positive and supportive environment. Continued bonding activities and maintaining a nurturing connfection with your baby will help foster a sense of security and trust, leading to increased recognition and attachment over time.
