You can give tummy times 45 minutes after the feeding so that there won't be any spit ups. Tummy time will help to strengthen baby's neck and arm muscles. Start it slowly. Lay the baby on the tummy only for few mins. Gradually increase the time as your baby gets used to it. It's normal for babies to go cranky once u start tummy time as it will be totally new for them. So Take it slowly, don't force them if they look very uncomfortable. Encourage the baby by keeping some toys in front of her. Also give tummy time only under ur supervision. For a preemie baby u should track the growth based on the expected due day and not on the original birth date which is premature . Like if a normal baby follows objects and smiles around three months then it may take sometime between four to five months(from the original birth date) for a baby who is two months premature. There will be a two months delay in reaching all the milestones. So based on how many months or weeks ur child is premature u may calculate the corrected age and give the tummy time.
