Q.

My baby is premature and was born at 32 weeks. Now he is 4 and half month old. He is weighing 5.5kg now. Is this good and normal weight at this age. Still he don’t have control over his head and he doesn’t roll over. Will it take more time for premature babies. I am really worried about this.

A. the weight is adequate it is important to meet the doctor to get the child examined. milestones assessment of the child needs to be done which will tell whether the child is having any development delay or not. the child will be assessed for four major milestones that is 1.gross motor milestone 2.fine motor milestone 3.social milestone 4.language milestone.

A. Check as per the birth weight of the child if your child has gained a minimum of 400 g every month and that is good enough and if not then it will be little underweight so you can check that this way you’ll have a fair Idea
