Q.

my baby is preferring breast milk rather than solid food..why ..she is taking solid food too but priority she is giving to breast milk and taking small quantity of solid foods is it ok..does this make difference in her weight gain

A. Good Growth of the child is very important and for this most important is that child should take a healthy diet where its necessary to give a balance diet which should contain all the nutrition required. This is very important for building the immunity also. Encourage for green vegetables fruits dairy products all kinds of dal and other protein containing food items like soyabean eggs etc. Some nutritional deficiencies can be a cause for less appetite like iron deficiency which is most cogfmmon. Supplements like iron supplements and multivitamin with lysine like syp zincovit CL can be givenh for 1-2 months to increase the appetite. Diet counselling is also very important .

A. It Is a comet habit of kids but you should try to focus solid food equally at least three times in a day and give breast feeding rest of the times because if you continue breastfeeding or more than solid food that he has to wait and growth is going to get affected
