Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children3 years agoA. Babies under six months take on an average around 750 ml to 900ml per day split up into seven to nine feeds based on their appetite. Your baby should be peeing anywhere between six to ten times a day which means the baby is taking feeds properly. If not then may increase the feed amount gradually and see if it helps. In general u can feed the baby once in 2 hours. But if he cries due to hunger u may feed earlier. If he spits or vomits then it may indicate overfeeding in which case u can decide that the baby wants to feed only for comfort and not due to hunger. In that case u may swaddle the baby. Also there should be a gradual weight gain. Keep a check on these factors.
