A. many times white spots can occur in children but does not require any treatment except moisturizing lotion application or simple coconut oil application. they will persist for few weeks and then will go away if the problem continues beyond two weeks and is increasing in size and intensity then you have to meet the doctor for evaluation. some times it can be due to nutritional deficiency, skin sensitivity, allergy, fungal infection (sometimes self limiting) also for which your doctor will prescribe specific cream. your child is having cradle cap or seborrheic dermatitis (baby dandruff) you have to daily apply baby shampoo (spoo is good brand) on the scalp of the child during the bathing. do not apply any type of oil on the scalp during the daytime but only apply oil at the night timex. within one week the cradle cap will disappear. cradle cap is baby dandruff and is a type of fungal infection . x

A. Oh well rashes could be due to extra heat into the bodies so you can actually use coconut oil into the head and white spots are there could be due to deficiency of calcium or dryness so please get it examined with your doctor they can advise you with further treatment for the same
