Q.
my baby is having umbilical hernia. it was small but looks like getting bigger. it sheinks down sometimes when he relax also. we consulted a doctor when he was 45 days. he said it's fine. but getting worried when we see it popping out. pls suggest

We consulted a pediatrician and he said it will go away by the time baby is 1 year. but getting worried when we see that it's bulging most of the time.. also baby got gas problems too.. but he is not showing any discomfort due to this.. hope there is nothing to worry

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children2 years agoA. most of the times this types of umbilical l hernia will automatically reduce as the baby is growing in agefor further advise and information in this regard it is advisable to consult your local doctor for proper examination physically and if all required any investigations also and proper management
