HomeQuestions & AnswersMy baby is four months now and taking only Formula milk. However at day times he is not taking milk . Sometimes at day time he is crying for milk but taking maximum 80 or 90 ml milk not more than that . And after two or three hours again crying but same 80-90 ml he is taking.
Only at the time of dream feeding he is taking 110-120 ml When he is sleeping and finishing the bottle.
So have to give him dream feed at night twice from 12- 6 at night. As during day time he is refusing.
Is that ok ? How can I feed him more at day time .
Also if he takes sufficient milk during day time is that necessary to dream him at night at this age when he is sleeping from 12 am to 6 am .
Also he is not crying for feeding at night. I give him when he started moving at night during his sleep.

A. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also.
the urine output should be more more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking breastfeeding.
meet the doctor for weight assessment.
if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate breastfeeding

A. There Could be various reasons behind the crying of your child it is not necessarily always due to hunger that you may see that the time is crying sometimes it could be due to stomach or quality which sometimes you can get confused with hunger and sometimes it could be a reason that your child may be having its teeth which is why your are Child is crying most of the times dream feeding is working with you you can go ahead with that but do check the gums of your child I believe your child will be getting its teeth which is why your child is too cranky most of the times
