this could do with the flow of the feed, may be the position that is convenient and the flow is well and good he is preferring that , so would advise to feed in that position only.

Your baby is likely struggling with trapped gas or reflux, so try burping them more frequently and using a slower, more horizontal feeding position. Please consult your pediatrician if they seem to be in persistent pain, are losing weight, or show signs of forceful vomiting.

Maybe the child is facing difficulty in feeding so try and keep the head of the child always in the elevated position while feeding the child that will give easy feeding and gulping of the milk so I think that’s going to help and if you are unable to figure out what’s going wrong you can consult a lactation specialist
