Q.

My baby is born in 33week with weight 1.6kg. Now he’s in 37th week with weight 2kgs. Till now I have fed him breast milk using katori spoon and now he’s started with bottle feeding as it’s leak proof to feed from bottle. The baby is not at all willing to take direct feed. He latches but avoids to suck even after trying many times. Please help

A. Latching problem will be there at present give expressed milk and spoon feeding few more days for further advice in this regard it is advisable to consult your doctor for physical examination and if there is need to do investigations also then only proper treatment can be given

A. When you should press your breast with your hand when you’re trying to go ahead with direct Veedu Enga that is actually going to increase the flow of the milk or the child and it would be easier also if required you can use a nipple shield that he is also a good support
