Q.

My baby is almost 8 months old. After starting solids 3 times a day his bowl movement has become regular. But, it's pebble like and from yesterday I've notice his stool has a dark green patch on it. should I worry?

A. It’s okay and along with semi solids you have to give liquids to the baby like water soups and keep feeding your baby and make him sit in warm water to relax anal sphincters

A. The causes of a child's constipation may not always be clear, but may include: If a child is drinking too much milk and not getting enough solids, the lack of fibre can cause constipation. A tear in the skin next to the anus (called an anal fissure) may be caused by doing a hard poo.Offer your baby a small amount of water or a daily serving of 100 percent apple, prune or pear juice in addition to usual feedings
