my baby is almost 1yr old but his weight is 6.5kg I tried everything to put on his weight but his health issues like fever cold Is not letting him to gain weight is that dangerous for my baby

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. it is important for you to know that the weight of the child depends upon the genetic patterns and by that pattern only the weight gain in child is seen.
it also depends upon the diet the child is taking.
so it is advisable that you should meet the doctor who will tell you whether there is anything to worry or not and whether the child requires any health supplements.
the child should be given differentf flavours and recipes made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits daily in small amount.
you can add ghee groundnuts dryfruits in the diet and this will help in improvingg the weight of the child.
you can go through many recipes for children in different flavour and taste for your child on firstcry

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. Coconut oil with camphor is one of the best home remedies for the blocked nose, cough, and fever. Heat coconut oil and mix camphor, Apply the lukewarm mixture on the nose, palms, behind the knees, chest, and soles when the child is sleeping. A night of restful sleep is guaranteed.
Foods like potato, pumpkin, sweet potato, dal, ghee, ragi, almonds, yogurt, eggs and milk help the baby to gain weight. Please take a pediatricians' suggestion
