My baby is 9 months old. whenever she want to sleep, she continue sucks her thumb...if she doesn't get thumb she started crying...I tried everything...mittons n ol but she always become very cranky and can't sleep without it...what should I do...I am soo worried. I am not able to set a sleeping schedule for her, because she sleeps her own by sucking the thumb whenever she want.

A. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go . In the toddlers thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could hiibe phycological cause and feeling of insecurity or some stress . Just tryy to make the child comfortable and divert in some activities also spend good time with the child . In extreme case withdrawal can be tried with some solution available which are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be applied locally .
