Q.

my baby is 9 months old. she is on formula milk (Nan pro stage 2) and solids - banana, apple, watermelon and curd some times. since a week she is passing green stool around 3 times a day. no loose motions but smelly dark green stool. should I be worried? with the same food till a week back her stool was normal yellowish colour. she didn't have any green leafy vegetables or any green food. it's been a week. should I give her any medicine or alter her diet

A. iron supplement ?? If your baby is facing constipation issues you need to increase the fibre intake and keep your baby well hydrated and include dates prunes chiku and other fruits which are rich source of fibre in the diet and provide some physical activity as wellDon't worry about green stools because it is very commonly seen if your baby is having mild cold and cough or drinks formula milk. Moreover the consistency and the frequency of stool matters more than the colour.
