A. black tongue can be due to iron supplements you might be giving to the child and it should get cleaned with your clean finger. if it is not decreasing in intensity after cleaning then you will have to rule out xfungal infection of the tongue. it is advisable to get the child examine by the doctor.

A. A black tongue caused by food/drink should go away quickly. If it's caused by medicine, it should clear up within days of when they stop taking it. If not, their dentist can gently scrape it away. A black tongue caused by an infection may require antibiotics or antifungal medications.
