Q.
my baby is 9 month old. she is having blocked nose and that's causing her a lot of irritation and disturbs her sleep. Though giving her nasal drops, she also has developed cough. what to do in this case. her mom also has cough and cold. Is this transmitted to the baby from her? please advice what can be done to relieve the baby from cough and cold.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. Home remedies like Tulsi Ginger diluted with water combination (honey can be added after 1 year age)and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day.
try to prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops frequently for nasal blockage, simple cough and cold. Indirect steam is helpful.
For cold you can give drops wikoryl AF 0.5 ml to the child 2-3 times per dasy.
This may due to either allergy or infection and some times due to climate changes and temperature variationzs .
If fever is present give paracetamol.
