A. If your 8-month-old has developed a red patch after a mosquito bite that has persisted for a week and increased in size, it could be a sign of an allergic reaction or infection. You can try applying a mild, fragrance-free hydrocortisone cream or an anti-itch cream suitable for babies, but only after consulting your pediatrician. Keep the area clean and avoid scratching, as this can make the situation worse. If the patch continues to enlarge, becomes more inflamed, or shows signs of infection (like pus or warmth), it's best to consult your doctor for proper treatment.
