Q.

my baby is 8 month and 20 days old. she has started to sit without support and is also walking few steps if I hold her. She has however not started crawling yet. she doesn't like lying down on her tummy and hasn't received much of tummy time.Is it okay if she hasn't started crawling yet? What can I do to help her start crawling?

A. Children might start sitting unsupported and crawling after age one. If growth is on track, there's no need for concern. A balanced diet and regular baby massages can strengthen muscles for these activities. Some children might skip crawling and move directly to standing and walking. It's wise to consult a medical professional if intervention seems necessary.
