Q.

My baby is 8 and half months and weighing 8.6 kg...his weight has been constant since last 1 month...in between he was teething and having fever so weight went down and again came back to 8.6 but after that it isnt increasing. what should i do?

A. 1 to 4 months: Babies usually gain 1 1/2 to 2 pounds and grow 1 to 1 1/2 inches each month. During this time, your baby may begin looking chubby; however as her activity level increases, those baby rolls will soon be replaced by developing muscle. By 6 months: Most babies have doubled their birth weight. By 12 months: Most babies have usually tripled their birth weight and will have grown 9 to 11 inches from their original birth length

A. the baby will be increasing weight very rapid in first 3 months of age a baby will be having two times the birth weight at the end of 5 months only three times the birth weight at the end of one year
