Q.
My baby is 7 months old . And 2 teeth have come . Breast feeding is painful as she bites. What can be done? Or is use of nipple sheild useful and safe for child ??

ExpertDr. Garima VermaDentist4 years agoA. hello mam yes you can use nipple shield to protect the nipples it is completely safe but make sure it is sterilized before every use so that no infection can be caused due to this

Yes babies during teething stage bites,put fingers into mouth, sucks so use soothers/teethers to ease from gum pain in normal time. While feeding you can use nipple shield if baby biting.. After biting unlatch immediately calmly, don't yell as it might make baby think fun.
