Q.

my baby is 6 month's old . since past 3 days she is finding it difficult to poop. cries loudly and has to put more pressure while pooping. her poop has become hard and colour is dark green or black. what can be done to make pooping more easier ? is black color poop a concern. please advice.

A. baby is having constipation at this age Constipation is quite common in babies you have to do modification of food baby will be taking we have to include fibre in the diet of the baby you lot of fruits seasonally available like mango papaya banana and adequate water for the baby to drink

A. If your baby seems constipated, consider simple dietary changes: Water or fruit juice. Offer your baby a small amount of water or a daily serving of 100 percent apple, prune or pear juice in addition to usual feedings. These juices contain sorbitol, a sweetener that acts like a laxative.
