My baby is 6 month old, should I add salt in baby food.

A. Initially don’t add salt or sugar in diet and around 7 months you can start adding salt and sugar in foods of the baby and instead of sugar jaggery powder can be added

A. Hello dear parent! Salt and sugar are not advisable before one year completion as it reduces food assimilation. Give your child easily digestible homemade foods and keep hydrated. Give foods like homemade cerelac, ragi, mashed bananas, apple purée in small quantities. Continue breastfeeding.
