A. No problem if baby is passing adequate urine. If baby is active and playful, no fever, passing adequate urine ie. minimum 6-8 times per day, then no need to worry for motion ( once in 7 days or 15 times per day- both conditions normal. Green colour stool is normal only,  If baby is passing urine minimum 6-8 times per day.  Don't give so much importance to motion unless blood in motion or bad smelling motion.   Consistently green stools in the breastfed baby can indicate an imbalance of foremilk/hindmilk,  often resulting in frothy green stools. ... Teething can also bring about green stools due to increased saliva.   A lot of green vegetables or something with green food coloring in mom's diet also cause green colour motion in baby.

A. Green, watery stools in infants can be concerning, especially if they persist for several days and are accompanied by frequent bowel movements. Here are a few possible reasons for this: 1. **Dietary Changes**: If your baby has recently started solid foods or if you've introduced new foods, this can sometimes cause changes in stool color and consistency. 2. **Infection or Illness**: Diarrhea with greenish color can sometimes indicate a viral or bacterial infection. Other symptoms may include fever, irritability, or reduced appetite. 3. **Teething**: Teething can sometimes cause changes in bowel movements, but it typically doesn't cause persistent watery stools. 4. **Formula Sensitivity**: If your baby is formula-fed, a change in formula or sensitivity to certain ingredients can lead to diarrhea. Given that your baby is having watery green stools multiple times a day for several days, it's advisable to contact your pediatrician. They can assess your baby's symptoms, perform an examination if necessary, and provide guidance on whether any treatment or changes to diet are needed. It's essential to monitor your baby for signs of dehydration (such as reduced urine output, dry mouth, or fussiness) and seek medical advice promptly if you have any concerns.
