A. Doctors recommend waiting until a baby is about 6 months old to start solid foods. Starting before 4 months is not recommended. At about 6 months, babies need the added nutrition — such as iron and zinc — that solid foods provide.

A. Hello good evening !! Until 5 complete months exclusive breast milk or formula milk is suggested for babies. From 6 month onwards start semi solids once a day gradually twice a day and rest of the day milk either breastfeed or formula feed. Fruits and vegetables puriees, mashes, cerelac, sooji, porridge, idly, soups check suitability before introducing new food item. Avoid sugar, salt, oil use ghee, unsalted butter while preparing baby foods.
