Arpita BhowmikMom of a 3 yr 8 m old boy3 years agoA. If your baby is on breast feed check if baby gets adequate milk.Breast feeding mother has to take balanced diet for baby growth. Mother's health is related to baby's weight gain.
My baby was also not gaining weight. I improved my diet and baby's weight increased little bit
Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also.
the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking feeding.
meet the doctor for weight assessment.s
if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate milk intake.
if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to worry about the sleepingx pattern/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child
AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 9 m old boy3 years agoA. Hi mom
ideally the weight gets double the birth weight by five months..
Feed for longer time from one breast so that the baby gets both fore milk and hind milk.
Hind milk is rich in fat and thicker which will help in weight gain of the baby. Then switch to other side to feed.
