Q.
my baby is 5 months old and till 4th month she gained good weight like 1kg per month but now from last 2 months she only gained 400 grams in total . so what should I do to gain her weight ? also i started giving her fruit juice ( 2 small tea spoon daily at noon) should I start cerelac ? please guide me in this ππ» baby's weight 7.4 kg

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. 7.4 kg weight is good after 5 month weight gains less as per earlier. Its better to wait till 6 months by that time baby's bowel will be mature enough to accept solid foods

If Your child was gaining 1 KG every month and suddenly it has come to 400 g and thatβs not good maybe your breast feed is not strong enough now so it would be important to consult your doctor and start giving formula feeding if it is required to grams is good enough for a month and you cannot start with semisolid food before the age of seven months so I think itβs too early
