Q.

my baby is 5 months old and is not passing stool since 3 days i went to the doctor and they inserted something so that the stool comes out and that day she properly pooped but again after 2 days she is not passing stool. she is passing lot of gas but is not passing stool and my baby is plating well and she is active. am just worried after dribking soo much of milk water and apply juice prescribed by my doctor why is she not passing stool?? is this normal? what can i do please help. Doctor also askd me to give cremaffin half tablespoon to my baby. but still no improvement

A. Some babies pass stools once in four or five days while some pass even more than five times a day which are perfectly normal in breastfed babies. Touch and feel the baby's tummy. If it's hard or the baby is cranky or crying more than usual then u should consult with ur pediatrician. If not u can wait upto seven days.
