Q.

My baby is 5+ months old and I am exclusively breast feeding. Her weight gain is normal but sometimes I feel like I am not producing enough milk for her as she is sucking her hands always and her mouth like sucking while sleeping also. How to find out if I am producing enough milk.my breast always feels soft.

A. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also. the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking feeding. meet the doctor for weight assessment.z if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate milk intake. if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to worry about zthe sleeping pattern/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child

A. Hello dear parent! Check if your baby is teething. Use Babyhug teethers. Continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby well on demand. As long as your baby is healthy and active, gradually increasing the weight then fine. Baby should double birth weight by 6 months completion
