Q.

my baby is 5 months 15 days old girl. Nowadays we found that breast milk is not enough for her. can we start solid food for her. thanks in advance.

A. It is recommended to introduce semi solid foods in baby's diet between the age of 5-6 months as by then their immunity and digestive system develop a bit for outside foods. Yes, you can start with lentil puree, mashed banana, apple, carrot and pear puree and home made cerelac. Later give mixed vegetable soup, khichdi and ragi and sooji porridge. Start slow with 4-6 spoons per serving and twice a day.
