Q.

my baby is 5 month old. she has too much of gas problem.. every night she gets up due to gas. i am giving her simethicone drops but it doesnt work neither the hing on navel. what else can be done to reduce the gas.

A. it is very important to do burping for 15 to 20 minutes after every feed and if you are giving only breastfeeding then continue the same treatment but if you are giving outside milk there is a possibility that it might not be properly digestible by the child and you will have to give different formula milk and do not give anything except milk to the child till completion of 6 months of age

A. Hello dear parent! Give good tummy time everyday. Do cycling movements with both the baby’s legs to relieve from gastric discomfort. If the baby is exclusively breastfed then mother’s diet should be taken care of. If you are still concerned better consult your child’s doctor for evaluation and advice.
