Q.

My baby is 5 month old, i think she does not take enough breastmilk due to playing nature and i tried every way but she does not taking enough. Due to less feeding she cries every 1-2 he for feed but again same thing happened. She is playful and peeing enough but not gaining weight . Looking thin as well. Last month she gain only 2.5 kg. Should i start semi solids for her weight gain or should i give external milk to her. Breast milk supply is also ok. Plz suggest

A. In last one month she gained only 250g. Other criteria has been full filled instead of weight.

A. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also. the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking feedingh. meet the doctor for weight assessment. if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate milk intake. if the growth of the child is proper there is nothing like need to worry about the sleeping patterng/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child
