Q.

My baby is 5.5 months. Earlier she was gaining weight very fast. She was 6 kg in 4th month. But post that she is gaining weight very slowly. She is 6.6 kg in 5.5 month. Is it normal for weight gain to reduce after 4th month? Currently she is exclusively breast feeding.

A. babies growth will slow down when the baby is around 6 months of age and the target should be that the baby should double the birth weight by 5 months and triple by one year of age

A. Hello dear parent, this is absolutely normal. As babies grow their physical activities also grow and due to which weight gain process slow down. But this g does not mean baby is not healthy. This shows baby is active and if baby is urinating 8 to 10 times in the day then your baby is well fed and well hydrated.
