Shaista TarannumMom of a 16 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. if its a little amount after every feed then its ok. nothing to worry. only if it is a large amount then you need to consult your pediatrician itself once. make sure you make the baby burp after every feed. its extremely important.
The quantity of formula milk depends on baby's weight. baby should be given 150-200 ml of formula feed for every kg of baby weight. for example if baby is 3 kgs then give 450-600 ml in 24 hrs. that is the thumb rule. Divide this through the day.
But since all babies are different then the quantity may vary a bit also. Please refer to the instructions on the box also once where the quantity will be given as per baby's weight or age.
One note about formula feeding: It's easier to overfeed when using formula because it takes less effort to drink from a bottle than from a breast. So please make sure you keep an on the quantity.
