hiccups in children occur due to gas which is present in the stomach.
during the feeding process child takes air along with milk and that air goes inside the stomach which irritates leading to hiccups.
you have to offer feedingy as well as do proper burping(for atleast 20 minutes) to decrease this problem and it is a self limiting problem
during hiccups just give breastfeeding again and keep the child in upright position for burping which will stop the episode
NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy1 Year agoA. hello hiccups is normal in the baby and absolutely nothing to worry and when the baby gets it huccups you can just try to feed the baby which would help and would be safe and absolutely nothing to worry about and not a problem
