Q.

My baby is 4 months old... she is having both breastmilk and formula milk since birth... but mostly on formula milk... 15 days ago she resisted to have formula milk... since then she had her 3 and half month vaccination, suffered from cough and cold and dysentery for 3-4 days each... We consulted a pediatrician and gave her medicines... she has recovered now...her medicines completed yesterday.... Now she is totally resisting formula milk and only having breastmilk... I have already changed the bottle and also the formula milk. Is it normal for babies for to resist for these many days?? Will she resume bottle feeding?? What measures do I take to make her have formula milk?? Please help. Thank u

A. Milk is very important for babies specially in the initial days of life breast milk is very important and should be given exclusively till 5-6 months of age . formula milk should be given only as a substitute to breast milk if due to any reason it is not sufficient to fulfill the demand of the baby. according to thge age different stage of formula milk are there like stage 1 till 6 months of age stage 2 from 6 months to 12 monthfs and thereafter stage 3 . after one year cows milk should be started and any kind of health drink powder in milk should be used only after the completion of two years of age .

A. Hi mom Why u want to give bottle feed to your baby?? mother should exclusive breast feed her baby till six months. If ur baby is active and comfortable otherwise, passing out urine 6-8 times in a day, gaining weight then that means your feed is sufficient for the baby. Then no need to give formula milk
